This, after their nations have either profited from or actively participated in the ongoing siege and bombing. Erdogan's Turkey has notoriously continued trade with Israel,
enriching corporations that directly support Israel's military—a detail conveniently absent from Trump's peace pronouncements. Meanwhile, el-Sisi's Egypt controls the Rafah crossing, a choke point for aid that has been selectively opened and closed, exacerbating the humanitarian disaster in exchange for what one might charitably call 'strategic considerations.' It seems 'peace' is a flexible term
when powerful leaders are involved. We saw this act before.
