The BBC dutifully reports this without scratching the surface of why this particular concern pops up. Perhaps it's less about agricultural policy and more about South Africa's rather inconvenient, principled stance against ongoing ethnic cleansing, exemplified by

its landmark ICJ case against Israel. The same South Africa that was once the world's pariah for apartheid is now spotlighting a modern one. Funny how countries that refuse to fall in line with Western geopolitical interests suddenly become targets for expulsion from global forums. When South Africa was complicit in white minority rule, it was a staunch Western ally. Now, its international

solidarity has apparently made it an unpalatable G20 member. The hypocrisy is so thick, you could carve it.
