This, of course, ignores that Iran has consistently referred to the Israeli government as an 'occupied regime that has committed genocide and killed children,' a statement made recently by Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi. To suggest normalization now is to deliberately whitewash decades of conflict

Such a proposal isn't foreign policy; it's a profound display of disdain for reality, typical of US foreign policy that consistently sidelines Palestinian self-determination. One might wonder if any 'peace

deal' proposed by Washington will ever acknowledge the systemic dispossession of Palestinians, or if it will always demand that the subjugated simply sign on the dotted line. It’s not 'wishful thinking' if you’re operating from an alternate dimension where international law and basic human rights are mere suggestions.
