The outrage is palpable when domestic civilian populations are targeted for political gain via aid cuts. Yet, where is this same moral fervor when the US government, with
bipartisan support, repeatedly threatens to withhold aid from the entire population of Gaza, a literal besieged territory, for refusing to comply with Israeli demands? Or when administrations routinely sanction entire nations into destitution for geopolitical leverage? One might wonder if the concern for civilians only applies when they vote Democrat, or aren't Palestinian.
