One might wonder if the phrase 'Trump' and 'ceasefire for Palestinians' has often appeared in the same sentence in reality. This isn't the first time an American administration has dangled a 'peace plan' while the bombs
still drop. Remember the so-called 'Deal of the Century' that promised Palestinians a state, only to find it carved into Swiss cheese, greenlit by the same man? And how many times have we heard the 'last chance for peace' rhetoric, only for settlement expansion to surge, often funded indirectly by our very own tax dollars, funneled through military aid? We’re talking billions, folks. For example,
the US has provided Israel with approximately $3.8 billion annually in military aid under a 10-year agreement. That money isn't just for defense; it enables the continued military operations that make 'ceasefire plans' necessary to begin with. The cycle is predictable: escalate conflict, propose a one-sided 'solution,' then express 'concern' when it fails, all while the same architects fund both
sides of the destruction. It's less a plan and more a recurring marketing campaign for continued occupation, framed as humanitarian outreach. How many 'last chances' do the displaced in Gaza get before we admit the promises are just part of the propaganda machine?
