Donald Trump, according to the New York Times , is jetting off to Israel before co-chairing a meeting in Egypt to discuss a "Gaza peace plan." What the Times politely sidesteps is that Trump's previous "peace plan" in 2020—unveiled alongside Netanyahu, conspicuously without Palestinian representation—was widely dubbed the "deal of the century" by its proponents, granting Israel vast tracts of
occupied territory and zero sovereignty to Palestinians. It was less a plan, more a surrender document. One might recall that the 'peace' architects involved in prior iterations of this never-ending process are often the same figures who have consistently overseen the expansion of settlements and the escalation of violence. It's almost as if the concept of 'peace' for some involves the complete
