Trump Finds Epstein 'Hoax' Convenient After Presidency
Donald Trump, as Al Jazeera duly notes, has now pivoted to publicly demanding the release of Jeffrey Epstein's client list, after previously calling such demands a 'hoax' or 'ridiculous.' This sudden enthusiasm for transparency, emerging just as he's out of office and facing a new election cycle, certainly raises no questions at all about opportunistic timing. One might wonder why, during his
actual presidency, this 'national security issue' received considerably less urgency than, say, a golf game. It's almost as if the proximity to power and the potential for inconvenient truths about himself or his allies influenced his prior stance. Now, with the political chessboard rearranged, the former President appears rather keen for some names to drop that aren't his own. The Epstein
scandal, like many salacious stories, tends to cast shadows indiscriminately, and suddenly, everyone wants to control the narrative, or at least point fingers elsewhere.
