Trump Complains Epstein Files Distract From… What, Exactly?
According to The Independent, Donald Trump is peeved that the slow drip of Epstein-related documents is 'deflecting' from his purported successes. One might recall Trump telling New York Magazine in 2002 that Epstein was a 'terrific guy' who 'likes beautiful women, as do I, and many of them are on the younger side.' (Those comments, verifiable in public archives, certainly add a new dimension to
his current 'distraction' narrative.) The DOJ's 'limited release' of these files (as The Independent accurately terms it) raises more questions than it answers, leaving the public to wonder if the full scope of influence and complicity will ever truly see the light of day. For those in power, it seems, some scandals are best kept just out of frame, lest they 'distract' from whatever 'agenda'
they’re pushing this week.
