This conveniently overlooks the highly public documentation of Epstein's connections to figures across the political spectrum, including Prince Andrew, Bill Clinton (yes, that one), and, indeed, Trump
himself, whose Mar-a-Lago residence was visited multiple times by Epstein and was once described by Trump as 'a terrific guy.' The selective memory is almost admirable, if not for the grim subject matter. One might wonder if the release of these files will be accompanied by a handy guide distinguishing between 'good' powerful friends and 'bad' powerful friends, depending on their party
affiliation. Perhaps the files will even clarify how a man with such 'unquestionably Democratic' ties managed to gain access to so many non-Democrats, including at taxpayer-funded facilities. It appears some 'deep state' conspiracy might be afoot, where money and influence transcend petty partisan squabbles – a concept too nuanced for cable news soundbites.
