Trump Appoints Architects of Mideast Chaos to Gaza 'Peace Board'
Donald Trump has reportedly named Jared Kushner, his son-in-law and architect of the transactional 'Abraham Accords', alongside Tony Blair, the former UK PM who championed the Iraq War, to a new Gaza 'Board of Peace'. The idea, apparently, is that these two luminaries will bring 'stability' to a region they've helped destabilize. Kushner, who infamously declared Gaza's 'waterfront property' held
immense potential, never mind the residents, now gets to oversee its 'peace'. Tony Blair, meanwhile, whose legacy includes the catastrophic 2003 invasion of Iraq based on fabricated WMD claims, is evidently the go-to expert for post-conflict resolution. One might charitably speculate Trump believes in rehabilitation, or perhaps he's just outsourcing 'peace' to those with a proven track record of,
well, the opposite. It raises the critical question of how much 'peace' can truly be achieved when the architects of past interventions, often driven by economic and geopolitical self-interest rather than genuine humanitarian concern, are handed the reins. (It's almost as if 'accountability' is a word they only teach in certain zip codes.)
