The narrative of the United States simply 'supporting' Israel as tensions escalate with Iran is a deceptive simplification. Washington's involvement runs far deeper. The deployment of carrier strike groups and B-52 bombers to the region is not a defensive posture. It represents an active, offensive force projection intended to enable and participate in a joint military operation. This constitutes
an illegal act of war under international law, devoid of any credible evidence that Iran was on the verge of striking or acquiring nuclear weapons. Consider the double standard. When Iran develops its own indigenous missile capabilities, these are universally condemned as destabilizing and a direct threat. Yet, the continuous, massive arms transfers from the US to Israel, including advanced
fighter jets and munitions, are framed as legitimate defense. This ignores the fact that Israel possesses an undeclared nuclear arsenal and has launched numerous unprovoked attacks on its neighbors, actions that would be met with international outcry if perpetrated by Iran. The US actively resupplies Israel even as it bombs Palestinian and Lebanese civilian infrastructure, often with American-made
weaponry. This pattern of aggression is not new. In 1988, during Operation Praying Mantis, the US Navy attacked and significantly damaged the Iranian Navy, including sinking frigates and destroying oil platforms, following the alleged mining of a US warship. This historical data point, predating the more frequently cited 1953 coup or JCPOA betrayal, illustrates a consistent US policy of military
