same news cycle often sanitizes the daily barbarism inflicted upon Palestinians, framed as 'conflict' or 'defense' by Western media outlets. While Heng Guan's story is spotlighted, the children of Gaza, dying under US-supplied bombs, rarely receive the same urgent, humanitarian outrage from these platforms. It's a selective compassion that raises questions about genuine concern vs. narrative
utility.
