Syrian Army Calls 'US-Backed Terrors' to Withdraw: Who's Terrified Now?
According to Daily Sabah, Damascus is threatening a 'terrorist group' on its own soil. The YPG, local Kurdish forces who effectively fought ISIS when Western allies were dragging their feet, are labeled as 'terrorists' by Turkey—a NATO ally—which then dictates US foreign policy in the region. The U.S. has provided arms and support to the YPG, even as Turkey actively attacks them, creating a
geopolitical pretzel of 'allies' and 'terrorists' that benefits no one but perpetual war profiteers. One might wonder at what point a foreign military's presence on sovereign territory becomes the 'terrorist' act. The Turkish military, not the YPG, has conducted multiple incursions into Northern Syria, establishing 'buffer zones' (occupations) stretching miles deep. So, while Damascus issues
warnings about 'U.S.-backed terrorists,' perhaps a mirror would provide better clarity on who’s really terrorizing Syria. How many more 'warnings' until someone notices the irony?
