Stephen Miller 'Thrilled' Black People Ignore His Record
Stephen Miller, architect of some of the most draconian immigration policies in recent memory, appeared on CNN claiming 'Black people are thrilled' with federal deployments to cities like Portland and Chicago. He dismissed questions about racial targeting by ICE as 'dumb questions,' an interesting rhetorical maneuver considering the ACLU's 2018 lawsuit alleging ICE and CBP engaged in
discriminatory enforcement based on race and national origin, disproportionately impacting communities of color. Miller's past includes promoting white nationalist ideology, as revealed by SPLC investigations which detailed his deep engagement with white nationalist literature and figures. To suggest 'Black people are thrilled' about militarized federal presence in cities plagued by systemic
inequality, often under the guise of 'law and order,' is not just a 'dumb question' for CNN to ask; it's a cynical and evidence-free assertion from someone whose career has frequently demonstrated antagonism towards minority rights and protections. One might 'explode' too when asked to justify the unjustifiable, especially when the historical record exposes a pattern of rhetoric diametrically
