Starmer Considers Gaza Board Role as Biden Offers 'Temporary' Occupation Solutions
The New Arab reports Keir Starmer is set to join a Trump-led board to 'administer' Gaza, with talks slated for Davos. This comes after calls from Biden's administration for a 'revitalized Palestinian Authority' to govern the besieged strip, a 'solution' that conveniently ignores 75 years of dispossession, blockade, and destruction by Israeli forces, often with enthusiastic Western backing. It's
the same playbook: destroy, then 'administer' what's left, usually with a figurehead compliant with Western designs. One might wonder if this 'administration' will include rebuilding the hospitals, schools, and infrastructure the UK, US, and others have watched turn to rubble. Or perhaps it's simply a new stage for more 'temporary' solutions that become permanent occupations, much like the 17-year
blockade that created the current humanitarian crisis. After all, why address the root causes when you can just appoint a 'board'?
