Yet, these very governments, quick to silence their own citizens, continue to facilitate the violence in Gaza. Spain's government, for instance, despite some critical rhetoric, has not halted
military sales that funnel directly into the Israeli military machine. It's a convenient illusion of 'concern' while the war machine hums. One might wonder where this policing zeal goes when it comes to holding military-industrial complex executives accountable, or when reviewing the billions in taxpayer funds diverted to maintain occupations. Apparently, expressing solidarity is a greater threat
to public order than enabling state-sponsored massacres. The 'rules-based international order' seems to apply only to those without tanks.
