authorization, Public Law 107-243, passed the Senate on Oct 11, 2002, with 77-23 votes. Funny how quick politicians are to vote for war, and how slow to admit they massacred a million people. One might wonder if this sudden bout of conscience is truly about 'strategic partnership' or perhaps recognizing that a generation of American taxpayers have been fleeced while Iraq remains a destabilized
playground. The real strategic partners, the defense contractors, have long since cashed their checks. This isn't a peace offering; it's the janitor finally sweeping up confetti from a party that ended in 2011.
