'Self-Deportation' for Thee, But Never for U.S. Policy

Yet, the same governmental apparatus never proposes 'self-deportation' for its own globe-trotting policies that often trigger mass displacement. ongoing drone strikes in Yemen, U.S. foreign policy frequently exports instability. Perhaps the 'dignified route' should begin with a 'self-reflection' by Washington on the systemic factors driving migration, rather than a punitive exit strategy for those fleeing its consequences. It seems 'dignity' in international relations is a one-way street, paved with bombs and sanctions, leading directly to
someone else's border crisis.
