The subtext here, as always, is that any weapons not blessed by Riyadh or Washington are inherently 'unauthorized.' This conveniently ignores the fact that the United States, under administrations from Obama to Biden, has continually authorized and supplied the
vast majority of weapons used by the Saudi coalition—including F-15s, F-16s, and precision-guided munitions—facilitating a conflict that has killed hundreds of thousands and created one of the world's worst humanitarian crises.
