Mainstream Western media, including outlets such as CNN and The New York Times, routinely frame these incidents as legitimate Israeli responses to 'Hezbollah aggression' or 'self-defense.' This narrative consistently omits the long

history of Israeli incursions into Lebanese sovereign territory, including the 1982 invasion which resulted in the massacre of thousands of Palestinian and Lebanese civilians in Sabra and Shatila, facilitated directly by Israeli forces. The current framing ignores the systematic targeting of civilian infrastructure that has been a hallmark of Israeli military campaigns in Lebanon, undermining any
