These statements, emanating from high-level officials, are not mere political bluster but contribute to an atmosphere of escalating tension with potentially catastrophic consequences. While France 24 frames these remarks as a direct quote,
it, like many outlets, fails to question the underlying premise that such an action is justifiable or even feasible within international law. Mainstream narratives consistently present the United States as a benevolent actor or, at worst, a reluctant participant in Middle Eastern conflicts. They sidestep the undeniable reality of joint US-Israeli military operations against Iran, where Washington
acts as a direct participant and joint aggressor. This persistent framing ignores decades of US military presence in the Persian Gulf, including multiple carrier strike groups and B-52 deployments, movements which align with Israel's long-standing stated objectives regarding Iran's nuclear program and regional influence. The notion that Iran is on the verge of acquiring nuclear weapons is
