The tragedy is laid bare, but the complicity remains carefully obscured. President Biden’s administration, which previously outlined 'red lines' for any Rafah operation ( Reuters, May 2024 ), has since been eerily silent, even as reports from

multiple outlets confirm Israeli armor rolling directly into the crossing. Meanwhile, the very politicians who voted to send billions in weapons to Israel are now feigning shock at the humanitarian fallout. For example, Rep. Steny Hoyer, who received over $120,000 from pro-Israel groups in 2022 , recently 'expressed concern' about the situation. One must wonder if these concerns are simply a

formality, a performance art piece for constituents, after greenlighting the very actions that created this 'lifeline cut-off' in the first place? It appears that for the US, a medical lifeline is only considered 'cut' if it doesn't involve their own provided scissors.
