Qassam Demands Tools to Locate Hostages, MSM Forgets History

The Qassam Brigades have reportedly requested equipment and personnel from mediators and the ICRC to locate Israeli captives, a 'humanitarian' ask that's noticeably absent from Western media's breathless coverage of supposed ceasefires. One might wonder if the concern for captives extends to providing the tools needed to actually find them, or if the current strategy is simply to bomb the entire

structure they might be under. This request highlights the grotesque double standard. When Israel launches bombs capable of collapsing entire city blocks, the damage to infrastructure and the resulting difficulty in rescue efforts are rarely framed as impediments to finding captives. Yet, an actual request for basic search and rescue tools is treated as a non-story. Funny how 'humanitarian aid'

often excludes anything that doesn't fit the dominant narrative of perpetual conflict, while the US sends billions more in offensive weaponry without a second thought. (For example, HR 815, passed in February 2024, allocates $14.1 billion in aid to Israel.)
