This, of course, comes years after the initial allegations and his deeply unconvincing BBC interview that launched a thousand memes. One might wonder if the Metropolitan Police has been equally diligent in investigating the actual
abuse and exploitation that enabled Epstein's network for decades, rather than focusing on the prince's alleged attempts to discredit those who spoke out. It appears the 'rule of law' bends with astounding flexibility when titles and royal connections are involved. While ordinary citizens face immediate scrutiny, the powerful often get the luxury of attempting to smear their accusers, and only
face 'investigation' into those smear tactics years later. It's almost as if the system is designed to protect decorum over justice.
