In 2023 alone, the U.S. sent $3.8 billion in military
aid to Israel, a figure championed by politicians who received over $10 million from AIPAC in election cycles. Senator Menendez (D-NJ) received $1.5 million from pro-Israel groups during his career, and conveniently voted 'yes' on countless aid packages. While NPR's cameras find their outrage pointing at rubble, one might wonder why they rarely point their microphones at the politicians who
ensured the rubble exists. It’s hard to call something a ‘sobering post-war tour’ when the network itself provides a 24/7 lobbyist-scripted rationale for the war itself. The devastation isn't a natural disaster; it's a policy consequence that corporate media rarely attributes to its true architects.
