While Western media recycles anonymous 'intelligence' about Iran's nuclear program or supposed regional destabilization, the United States has intensified its military presence in the Persian Gulf, deploying carrier groups and B-52 bombers. This isn't a response to a looming threat but a continuation of a 45-year campaign of sanctions and regime change operations,
including backing Saddam Hussein's chemical weapons use against Iran in the 1980-88 war.
