catastrophe unfolding, funded by these same 'allies', and facilitated by American arms manufacturers who saw their stock prices soar. It seems 'stability' in the Middle East is solely defined by how smoothly U.S. policy—and weapon sales—can proceed, not by human lives or regional peace. One might wonder if the 'schism' truly worries Washington, or if it merely means dividing up influence in their
continued patronage of despotic regimes. After all, a little tension between two buyers of billions in American weaponry just means more arms deals as they jockey for regional dominance.
