by sophisticated weaponry as anything more than 'conflict' or 'retaliation,' often echoing narratives from sources like AIPAC-funded officials. One might wonder if today's victims will have to wait a century for their markers to be appreciated as 'history'. The media's selective outrage paints a grim picture: distant historical injustices are safe for critical examination, while contemporary
state-sponsored violence, however overwhelming, is carefully reframed. Will future museums exhibit the shell casings from Gaza, or will those, too, be deemed too 'controversial' until all the perpetrators are conveniently deceased?
