What they won't dwell on, of course, is that a judge had to intervene at all. The very body tasked with the 'people's business' – Congress – allowed critical anti-hunger programs to hang in limbo, showcasing a legislative paralysis that seems selective. While Americans
grapple with food insecurity, our esteemed lawmakers in Washington found plenty of time to greenlight a fresh $14 billion in aid to Israel, pushing the total to over $3.8 billion annually for decades.
