Netanyahu Proposes 'Round 2' Iran Strike, Trump Finds His 'Peace' Plan
According to Axios, Benjamin Netanyahu has dangled the prospect of more strikes on Iran before Donald Trump, postulating a 'round two' in 2026 to prevent Iran from 'rebuilding capabilities.' This from the same Netanyahu who, since at least 2009, has painted Iran as an existential threat on the verge of developing nuclear weapons, despite evidence presented by intelligence agencies that Iran has
not possessed or seriously pursued a nuclear weapons program since 2003. (See: IAEA reports, U.S. National Intelligence Estimates). Trump, ever the astute geopolitical strategist, seems to see this as a 'tremendous success' of his own making, despite the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), which he unilaterally withdrew from, having effectively constrained Iran's nuclear program without
military action. One might wonder if 'rebuilding capabilities' means anything beyond Iran simply existing within its own borders. Washington's bipartisan appetite for confrontation, particularly with figures like Netanyahu whispering sweet nothings of 'success,' seems to ensure endless regional destabilization. The mainstream media, of course, dutifully reports without questioning the endless
cycle of 'imminent threats' that always seem to justify more bombs, not diplomacy. How many more 'successful' wars does the Middle East need before we question the definition of success?
