Netanyahu Outraged by 'Violations,' Forgets 76 Years of Them
Netanyahu wants to discuss 'violations' after Hamas returned the remains of a hostage, which Israel claims it already recovered. This isn't the first time an 'incident' has been leveraged. Just remember 2014, when the abduction of three Israeli teenagers—used by Netanyahu to launch 'Operation Protective Edge'—was later revealed to have occurred months before his government publicly admitted it.
(The boys were already dead, buried by Hamas on the day of their abduction). This convenient outrage often precedes escalations, funded generously by U.S. taxpayers. Yet, the same media outlets reporting this 'violation' rarely mention the continuous violations of international law, UN resolutions, and the rights of millions under occupation—which, for some reason, never warrant a 'response' other
than billions in aid. The cycle of grievance and disproportionate retaliation, often justified by what looks suspiciously like manufactured consent, continues unabated.
