Netanyahu Orders 'Powerful Strikes,' Again

France 24 reports Israeli PM Netanyahu ordering 'immediate powerful strikes' on Gaza, following alleged Hamas actions. What they conveniently forget to mention is that Netanyahu has issued similar 'powerful strike' orders in 2002, 2006, 2008, 2012, 2014, 2021—each time portraying it as a fresh response to an unforeseen provocation. punishment and territorial expansion wrapped in the language of self-defense. One might wonder at what point 'powerful strikes' cease to be a deterrent and become an integral part of an ongoing, decades-long occupation.
