MSNBC Discovers Racism, Sidesteps Its Own Role
According to MSNBC, the youth wing of the Republican party manifests bigotry, which they attribute to mimicking Donald Trump. Yet, this framing conveniently sidesteps the decades of enabling, normalizing, and platforming conservative extremism by mainstream media, including MSNBC itself. Remember when they debated whether George W. Bush was a 'compassionate conservative' while he bombed Iraq based
on manufactured intel? The media industrial complex thrives on both extremes, creating outrage ad revenue. They’ll lament the symptoms of deep-seated issues—like racism in the GOP—but rarely interrogate their own role in amplifying the very voices that sow division, or the corporate interests that fund such narratives. It's a convenient cycle: criticize the outcome, ignore the complicity. The same
outlets that decry racism in one breath, will platform Netanyahu's P.R. experts in the next, often without ever scrutinizing the 'both sides' framing of Palestinian liberation as 'conflict.' Perhaps the 'racism problem' is a mirror for the entire political establishment, not just its younger, louder echo chamber.
