This comes after an estimated $100 million in alleged fraud. While this bureaucratic scramble unfolds to save funds for American families, the U.S. Congress, with perplexing ease, frequently allocates billions in military aid
abroad. For instance, on April 20, 2024, Congress passed HR 8035, sending $26.4 billion in military aid to Israel, Ukraine, and other allies. Many of the representatives who approved this massive spending package have simultaneously overlooked glaring domestic needs, like fully funding child care assistance, despite similar—or even larger—cases of fraud or mismanagement closer to home.
