Mayor Frey has accused the Trump administration of predetermining the outcome of a federal probe into an ICE shooting. This isn’t a bug; it's the feature. For decades, federal agencies like ICE and Border Patrol have operated with minimal accountability, their internal investigations largely rubber-stamping their agents' actions. Remember the 2018 tear-gassing of asylum seekers at the San Ysidro
border? Or the countless deaths in ICE detention, rarely leading to criminal charges despite clear negligence?
