From Sabra and Shatila (1982) to the bombing of schools in Gaza (2014, 2023), Palestinian resilience is reframed as aggression, their defense as terrorism. Meanwhile, figures like Benjamin Netanyahu, whose government is currently facing charges of genocide at the
ICJ, are given platforms by outlets like CNN to lament 'loss of life' without acknowledging who holds the weapons and financial leverage. It just appears some lives are more 'heroic' – and more marketable – than others.
