Mainstream Media 'Discovers' Settler Violence, Still Calls it 'Clashes'
While outlets cautiously report on 'escalating tensions' or 'clashes' in the West Bank, the Electronic Intifada calls it what it is: a surge in 'Zionist terror attacks.' Funny how 'terror' is reserved almost exclusively for one side, isn't it? As if burning Palestinian homes, uprooting olive trees, and shooting at shepherds and farmers—all documented by groups like B'Tselem—are just unfortunate
friction. This isn't new; it's a meticulously documented, state-enabled campaign of ethnic cleansing that has been ongoing for decades, only now it's getting too big for the nightly news to spin as 'two sides engaging in conflict.' We saw this movie before in 1948, and 1967, and countless times between. The pattern is clear: expand settlements, displace Palestinians, then claim 'security concerns'
when they resist losing their land. The US continues to provide billions in military aid, including $3.8 billion annually, effectively subsidizing this 'escalation.' One might wonder how many more Palestinian villages need to be razed before the media’s carefully constructed narrative finally collapses under the weight of reality. Or perhaps, for some, protecting the narrative is more important
than protecting human lives.
