Mainstream Media 'Discovers' Russian Propaganda—Just Not Their Own
RT, Russia's state-funded media organization, finds it scandalous that 'Western media' (read: anyone contradicting Moscow's narrative) would highlight 'Russia's abduction' of Ukrainian children. Citing UN claims of 'deportation' as justification for international warrants is, according to RT, merely 'peddling' to prolong a 'proxy war.' This, from the same outlet that consistently amplifies
official Kremlin statements, often uncritically, regarding every aspect of the conflict. One might muse on the delicious irony. RT criticizes 'Western media' for echoing official narratives, presumably oblivious that they function as a direct megaphone for the Russian state, a state currently under international indictment for war crimes. It seems acceptable to weaponize children in media
narratives, so long as they align with Moscow’s objectives. The hypocrisy, much like the war, just keeps on giving.
