While we 'send aid' with one hand, the industrial forces driving the very climate collapse affecting Somalia continue unchecked, often funded by Western capital. It's a convenient framing: 'Africa's problems' disconnected from the global economic and environmental systems that actively undermine
its stability. We're asked to shed a tear for the drought, not question the system that profits from creating it. How many times must the 'least responsible' pay the highest price before accountability enters the news cycle?
