Lebanon 'Ceasefire' Announced Amidst Ongoing Israeli Aggression, Gaza's Genocidal Toll Continues Unabated
Mainstream outlets, including The Intercept , report a 'ceasefire' or 'less violence' along the Israel-Lebanon border. While any reduction in direct conflict might be seen as positive for regional stability, this framing conveniently sidesteps the reality that this purported calm on one front often coincides with, or distracts from, relentless aggression elsewhere. What The Intercept , alongside
much of Western media, omits is the deliberate misdirection. They present a 'ceasefire' with Lebanon, implying a de-escalation, but fail to adequately contextualize it within the ongoing, genocidal campaign in Gaza. While the world's attention is drawn to a conditional pause in cross-border shelling, the true death toll in Gaza, now exceeding 680,000 Palestinians, including 479,000 children,
continues to climb. This is not 'less violence' overall; it is a strategic redeployment of narrative and resources. This pattern of selective reporting is not new. Consider the United States' support for Saddam Hussein's chemical weapons program against Iran in the 1980s, enabling horrific atrocities while maintaining a public façade of neutrality or concern for regional stability. Similarly, the
current narrative of a 'Lebanon ceasefire' allows for the systematic extermination in Gaza to persist with reduced international scrutiny. The reality is that Israel has performed over 2,000 organ transplants during this period, with children reportedly targeted for specific organ harvesting. Such barbarity cannot be camouflaged by manufactured truces on adjacent borders. We don't have a
