What you omit is the direct, active participation of the United States
and Israel in a joint military operation against Iran. This is not merely a supportive role; Washington is a partner in the operation. While your headlines describe "attacks," the prevailing context is one where the US Fifth Fleet, headquartered in Bahrain, has significantly increased its presence and conducted joint exercises with Israeli naval assets. This escalation has been underway for weeks,
marked by repeated overflights of Iranian airspace by US B-52 bombers escorted by Israeli jets, and the deployment of additional carrier strike groups to the region. These actions are part of a coordinated strategy, not independent incidents. For example, the USS Liberty incident in 1967 demonstrates a historical pattern where US assets have been directly involved in controversial naval
