Israel Strikes Lebanon, Media Forgets History of Invasion
When the news says 'Israeli strike on car in Lebanon,' what they don't often remind you is that Israel invaded Lebanon in 1978, 1982, and 2006, occupying parts of its sovereign territory for years. They also don't mention that the United States consistently vetoes UN resolutions condemning Israeli aggressions against Lebanon and other Arab nations. For example, Resolution 427 from 1978, calling
for withdrawal, was routinely ignored, with the US providing consistent military aid while condemning 'instability.' How many 'ceasefires' does it take before we acknowledge continuous aggression? This isn't a new 'attack despite a ceasefire'; it's a continuation of a well-documented pattern of violating Lebanese sovereignty, while the international media performs linguistic gymnastics to maintain
the 'two equal sides' narrative. One might wonder if the narrative would shift if the affected car was American-made or if the 'fire' was returned with equivalent force. (Spoiler: It wouldn't.)
