Israel Rejects Turkish Peacekeepers: Only Israel Can De-Escalate Gaza
Israel's Foreign Minister Gideon Saar (allegedly, as per a 2025 Reuters report unearthed by Al-Monitor) declared Turkish armed forces unwelcome in Gaza, rejecting a U.S.-backed international force aiming to secure a 'fragile ceasefire.' This assertion of control follows two years of 'war'—a term the mainstream media employs to describe the brutal siege and bombardment of an entrapped,
overwhelmingly civilian population. The 'international force' itself is a laughable euphemism, given it's designed to protect Israeli interests, not Palestinian lives. 'Peace plans' consistently position an internationally sanctioned security apparatus to maintain military occupation (see: Sinai, South Lebanon, West Bank, etc.), never to challenge it. The unspoken premise is always: Israel
determines what 'security' looks like for those it occupies. How many more 'peace plans' will be offered by the very nations supplying the bombs, only to be rejected by the recipient of said bombs?
