Israel Offers Palestinians Exit Visa (No Return Policy Included)
The New Arab reports Israel would open the Rafah crossing 'exclusively' for Palestinians to exit Gaza. An incredibly generous offer, given that an estimated 1.7 million Palestinians are already internally displaced within Gaza – many pushed towards Rafah itself. One might wonder if this 'exit' resembles the 'voluntary transfer' of the Nakba, where hundreds of thousands were displaced with no right
of return, now conveniently rebranded for the 21st century. This isn't humanitarian aid; it's humanitarian-flavored ethnic cleansing. The same politicians now lauding this 'generosity' are often those who've voted consistently to fund the ongoing siege, like Rep. Steny Hoyer, who received $94,000 from AIPAC in 2022 according to OpenSecrets.org, then promptly voted yes on H.R. 815 , sending
billions to the region. It appears their concern for Palestinian 'exit' only extends as far as Palestinian disappearance.
