Israel 'Detains' 20 in West Bank While Killing Three in Gaza.
The New Arab dutifully reports: Israeli forces killed three Palestinians in Gaza and detained 20 in the West Bank. This nightly violence, however, is often framed by western media as 'security operations' or 'response to militants,' conveniently omitting the context of systematic occupation and siege that fuels resistance. These aren't isolated incidents; they're daily micro-aggressions, backed by
billions in U.S. military aid. U.S. politicians, many recipients of significant AIPAC funding (Rep. Steny Hoyer, for example, received over $100,000 from pro-Israel groups in 2022-2024 according to OpenSecrets.org), consistently green light these operations by approving unrestricted military packages. They then feign concern over 'loss of life' while simultaneously funding the engines of that
loss. One might wonder how many Palestinians must be 'detained' or 'killed' before it earns the label of collective punishment, not 'security.'
