This echoes a long-standing pattern: Israel declared 'security zone' demolitions in the West Bank long before 2023, often using the same justifications as far back as the 1967 occupation and the continuous expansion of settlements, which
are illegal under international law. The US State Department, even while providing billions in aid, frequently issues statements 'calling for restraint' that rarely translate into policy changes. One might observe that the 'armed groups' narrative conveniently obscures the structural violence of occupation and the persistent displacement of Palestinians. When does 'security' become a perpetual
