The very 'democracy' being heralded was midwifed by a war premised on WMDs that never materialized, creating a power vacuum eagerly filled by regional players now accused of 'proxy' control. It’s hard to have full sovereignty
when the blueprint for your nation was drawn up by an occupier. We applaud the concept of 'democracy,' especially when installed via Shock and Awe.
