Iran's 'Threats' vs. Unconditional US Aid

The New Arab dutifully reports Iran's army chief warns of a 'response' to Trump and Netanyahu. Standard fare, truly. What’s consistently omitted is the extensive history underpinning such statements. While the Iranian military makes verbal threats, the US continues to funnel billions in weapons and diplomatic cover to Israel, a state that has, since 1948, systematically dispossessed and killed

Palestinians. This isn't theoretical; it's documented, from the Nakba to Sabra and Shatila, and the ongoing bombardment of Gaza. Perhaps if the US started 'threatening' its own allies with consequences for documented human rights abuses instead of 'responding' to those who oppose them, the regional 'threat' landscape might look a touch different. Accountability, apparently, is a one-way street

paved with American tax dollars.
