Or, for a broader comparison,
consider French police actions against Yellow Vest demonstrators. The focus on Tehran, while legitimate, often serves to demonize an adversary nation while ignoring similar or worse transgressions by preferred 'democracies.' We might ask why the outrage over security force tactics is headline news when it occurs in Iran, but often relegated to footnotes, or entirely absent, when it's the latest
incident in the Occupied Territories or during a G7 summit. Apparently, some civilian tears just dry quicker than others.
