Fast forward, and successive US administrations, funded by taxpayers, have
maintained a steady flow of sanctions and rhetoric, escalating tensions in a region destabilized by prior regime change operations (Iraq, Libya, Syria, Yemen... the list is long). It's almost as if the 'threat' of Iran is perpetually manufactured to justify continued military expenditures. One might wonder if the specter of 'war' with Iran isn't less about genuine national security and more about
ensuring defense contractors' stock prices remain robust. The same politicians warning of Iranian aggression today often receive significant campaign contributions from companies like Lockheed Martin or Raytheon. Does anyone recall the 'yellow cake' claims or the 'weapons of mass destruction' that fueled the last regional 'conflict'? One might imagine that after decades of 'weighing action,' the
